Overview

Three separate vials from neuroscience research: Semax and Selank, two Russian-developed 7-amino-acid peptides, and Pinealon, a 3-amino-acid bioregulator. Semax and Pinealon are studied in cognition and nerve-protection research, and Selank in stress and anxiety research; Semax and Selank share a Pro-Gly-Pro stabilizing tail. This is plain Semax, not NA-Semax Amidate, and the kit is separate from the catalog's Semax/Selank blend vial.

What the research shows

Semax is registered in Russia for stroke, vascular cognitive problems and optic nerve disease; rat work suggests it raises BDNF and activates dopamine and serotonin systems, but FDA's 2026 review found no adequate controlled trials it could assess. Selank is registered in Russia for generalized anxiety and stress disorders, with rat work suggesting GABA-system effects. Pinealon's neuron-protection claims come from rat and cell work from one group, and its few small human reports lack methods detail, controls and randomization. The three have never been studied together.

Safety findings

Semax's Russian label contraindicates anxiety disorders, acute psychosis and seizure history, while Selank is sold for anxiety, so the pairing mixes opposing label positions. Semax and Pinealon add to a theoretical serotonin and dopamine concern, Semax had blood-thinning effects in animals, and one small Pinealon report noted fewer blood progenitor cells. FDA flags immunogenicity from impurities for Semax and Selank; all human Semax and Selank data are intranasal.

Regulatory status

None is FDA-approved or compoundable: Pinealon is approved nowhere, Semax had a non-binding favorable advisory vote (8–5–1, July 2026) with no rule since, and Selank's nomination was withdrawn. Semax and Selank are approved only in Russia as nasal drops. Pinealon falls under WADA S0 and is prohibited at all times; Semax and Selank are not named.

Catalog notes

All three kit strengths have current certificates: Semax 10 mg (COA7586, 99.82%), Selank 10 mg (COA7627, 99.83%) and Pinealon 20 mg (COA7610, 99.68%). None of the three is in any other catalog kit. Despite its name, Pinealon is derived from a brain-cortex extract, not the pineal gland.
