Evidence grade Ungraded
NA-Semax Amidate Liquid Spray
Ungraded: no peer-reviewed study of the N-acetyl, amidated molecule was found; plain Semax is graded C.
- Strengths
- 10 mg (bottle volume not stated)
- Also known as
- N-acetyl Semax amidate
- Contains
- NA-Semax Amidate
- Molecule
- Modified 7-amino-acid peptide (Semax with both ends capped)
- Formula
- about C39H54N10O10S (calculated)
- Mol. weight
- about 855 g/mol (calculated)
- Sequence
- Ac-Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro-NH2 (expected)
Origin
Sold as a modified version of Semax, a Russian nasal-drop medicine. Capping both ends (acetyl and amide) is a common chemistry tactic to slow breakdown, but this capped form is not the approved Russian drug.
How it works
Unknown for this molecule. Plain Semax is an ACTH-fragment analog; in rats, intranasal plain Semax reached the brain within minutes, though only a tiny fraction. None of this has been shown for the capped form.
What the research shows
No peer-reviewed studies of the modified molecule were found in people or animals. Claims that it is stronger or longer-lasting appear to come from vendor and community sources. FDA's 2026 review covered plain Semax and its acetate salt, not this molecule, and found no human pharmacokinetic data by any route.
Key studies
- FDA PCAC briefing document on Semax, July 2026 Reviewed plain Semax and Semax acetate, not the N-acetyl amidated form.
Safety findings
No safety data exist for the capped molecule. FDA's concerns for plain Semax (immunogenicity; blood-thinning and dopamine effects in animals) may apply. The Russian label for plain Semax excludes people with anxiety disorders, seizure history, psychosis, pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Regulatory status
Not FDA-approved and not the molecule FDA's advisory committee reviewed in 2026; not lawfully compoundable. Not named by WADA; likely S0 because it is not approved anywhere.
Catalog notes
Offered as 10 mg; bottle volume, carrier and preservative are not listed. The linked certificate (lot SEMX10-0803, 99.82%, COA7586) is titled 'Semax 10mg,' and the listed CAS, formula and molecular weight are those of plain Semax. Check the lot's certificate for the exact formula and molecular weight; values calculated for the N-acetyl, amidated molecule are about C39H54N10O10S and 855 g/mol.
