Evidence grade D
Selank + Semax Liquid Spray
The combination has never been studied, so it is graded D. On their own, Selank and Semax each have only small Russian nasal studies.
- Strengths
- 10 mg combined in 10 mL (split not disclosed)
- Contains
- Selank, Semax
- Molecule
- Two-peptide blend
- Mol. weight
- 751.89 / 813.93 g/mol
- CAS
- 129954-34-3 / 80714-61-0
- Sequence
- Selank: Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro; Semax: Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro
Origin
Combines two Russian-developed peptides: Selank, registered in Russia for anxiety, and Semax, registered for stroke and cognitive problems. Each is approved there separately as nasal drops. This is plain Semax, not NA-Semax Amidate.
How it works
Both share the same Pro-Gly-Pro stabilizing tail and are broken down quickly in blood. Their proposed mechanisms overlap in the lab (both inhibit enkephalin breakdown in serum), but overlap does not show added benefit.
What the research shows
No published human study gives Selank and Semax together; animal studies compared them side by side, not combined. The combination reflects community practice rather than a studied pairing. Because the ratio is fixed and undisclosed, neither peptide can be adjusted alone, and a reaction cannot be traced to one ingredient.
Key studies
- FDA PCAC briefing document on Semax, July 2026 Reviewed Semax alone; noted animal bleeding risk and amplified stimulant-driven dopamine release.
- Russian prescribing information for Selank and Semax nasal drops (RLS) Each registered separately; Semax label excludes anxiety disorders.
Safety findings
The labels conflict: Semax's Russian label excludes anxiety disorders, psychosis and seizure history, while Selank is sold for anxiety, and this interaction is untested. Semax showed bleeding risk and stimulant-dopamine effects in animals. Nasal irritation, allergy and bad taste are reported for the components.
Regulatory status
Neither peptide is FDA-approved. Selank is 'nominated but withdrawn' on FDA's safety-risk page. In July 2026 FDA's Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee voted 8–5–1 to recommend adding Semax to the 503A bulks list (advisory only; no final rule as of October 2026); Selank was not reviewed. Neither is named on the 2026 WADA List; Russian approval arguably keeps them out of S0, but Semax's ACTH origin raises an open S2 question.
Catalog notes
Offered as 10 mg combined in 10 mL, with the Selank/Semax split not listed. It sold out in October 2026 and has since been removed from the catalog; no certificate was published.
