Sleep Research Blend Liquid Spray

The combination has never been studied, so it is graded D. Neither peptide in it has been studied as a spray.

Strengths
10 mL: DSIP 10 mg, Pinealon 10 mg, melatonin 50 mg, GABA 250 mg
Contains
DSIP, Pinealon, Melatonin, GABA
Molecule
Four-ingredient blend (two peptides, a hormone and an amino acid)

Origin

A vendor-designed blend of four ingredients each linked to sleep: the research peptides DSIP and Pinealon, the hormone melatonin, and the brain chemical GABA. The weight ratio (1:1:5:25) is fixed.

How it works

Each ingredient has its own proposed role: DSIP was named for sleep research, Pinealon is a brain-targeted bioregulator, melatonin signals the body's clock, and GABA is the brain's main calming neurotransmitter. Whether supplemental GABA reaches the brain is uncertain.

What the research shows

No study has tested this combination by any route. Of the four, only melatonin has solid human sleep data, and that is for oral tablets (approved in the EU as a prescription product for adults 55+). The two placebo-controlled DSIP sleep trials found no benefit, and Pinealon's human reports are oral, from the developer, without controls. Human nasal melatonin data could not be retrieved.

Key studies

  • Monti 1987; Bes 1992 (via FDA DSIP review) Placebo-controlled DSIP sleep trials found no objective benefit.
  • Melatonin clinical literature (via Wikipedia review) Oral melatonin has modest human sleep evidence.

Safety findings

Its ingredients are associated with sedation, so additive effects with alcohol, benzodiazepines, sleep drugs or opioids are a concern. Melatonin can cause next-day grogginess, headache and vivid dreams, may increase warfarin effect, and is strongly raised by fluvoxamine. Melatonin is poorly soluble in water at the stated concentration, so an undisclosed co-solvent is likely.

Regulatory status

No component is an FDA-approved drug; melatonin is a US dietary supplement. Melatonin is in 503A Category 1, GABA in Category 3, DSIP received a 6–7–1 advisory vote against listing in July 2026, and Pinealon is not listed, so the blend cannot be lawfully compounded. DSIP and Pinealon likely fall under WADA S0.

Catalog notes

All four ingredients and amounts are listed: DSIP 10 mg, Pinealon 10 mg, melatonin 50 mg and GABA 250 mg in 10 mL. No certificate, lot, purity value or product SDS is published yet, and the vehicle, co-solvent, preservative, pH and ingredient sources are not listed.
