Origin
Equal amounts of the short-acting 'No DAC' form of CJC-1295 (Mod GRF 1–29) and ipamorelin, a ghrelin mimic. It is a common growth-hormone-axis research pairing.
How it works
CJC-1295 No DAC acts on the GHRH receptor and ipamorelin on the ghrelin receptor; these are separate pathways in growth hormone release research. Both give short pulses. Ipamorelin's reported lack of cortisol and prolactin effects was shown only in rats and pigs.
What the research shows
No study of this pair exists in humans or animals. The rationale rests on 1990s human studies in which GHRH plus a different ghrelin mimic, GHRP-6, released far more growth hormone together than apart. No study pairing ipamorelin with any GHRH analog was found. The 2006 human CJC-1295 studies used the long-acting DAC form, not this one.
Key studies
- Bowers et al., J Clin Endocrinol Metab 1990 Low-dose GHRP-6 plus GHRH(1–44) released growth hormone synergistically in 18 men.
- Peñalva et al., J Clin Endocrinol Metab 1993 GH area-under-curve 973 and 821 alone vs 4,412 together (GHRP-6 + GHRH).
Safety findings
Signals may stack: ipamorelin's surgical trial showed more high blood sugar and low potassium than placebo, and FDA lists fast heart rate and flushing-type reactions for CJC-1295. Synergy may amplify growth hormone, glucose and fluid-retention effects (not measured). A reaction can't be traced to one component.
Regulatory status
Neither component is FDA-approved. FDA advisers voted against compounding ipamorelin (October 2024) and all CJC-1295 forms (December 2024); neither is on the 503A bulks list, and ipamorelin remains on the 503B Category 2 list. WADA prohibits both at all times (S2).
Catalog notes
Available as 5/5 mg and 10/10 mg, both with certificates tested August 17, 2026: lot CJCIP10-0803 (99.80% purity, COA7607) and lot CJCIP20-0803 (99.82%, COA7631). Content is reported as total peptide rather than by component; check each lot's certificate for its sample description. Follow the storage stated on the label and certificate.
